Clangers, L 10-12 (5)

Another close game brought the curtain down on the league season. By the (early) end it was obvious that softball in September is not really an good idea in the evening......

Titans, L 11-12

A good fight back by the C Lions in the last two innings brought the teams level in the middle of the 7th, but the Titans scored easily in the bottom of the innings to win.

Outlaws II, L 5-6

One run in the first 6 innings just wasn't (quite) enough..

Lightning, L 9-10 (8)

Another tough extra innings loss.

Aardvarx, L 9-14

A tame end to the long winning streak but the two new girls both showed promise, will those off on their foreign junkets live to regret it ? :)

Bees, W 20 - 19

A good batting performance mixed in with some dodgy fielding produced another tight result, but importantly also led to the win.

Vipers, W

An untidy game with the sun causing some problems in the field but lots of runs made sure of the win.

Mets AAA, W 18-16

Best performance of the season so far in what were testing conditions.

Outlaws 2, W 19-17

A good come from behind win against an Outlaws team boosted by some of their first team talent. Successfully defending a 2 run lead in the bottom of the 7th was an impressive feat and indicative of the teams growing self belief.

Titans, W 16-4 (6&1/2)

The new shirts inspired the all rookie C Lions to their best performance so far. There was another impressive pitching performance, from Pete this time, and some good defensive play, but the improved base running and a hitting display that looked good after recovering from some early nerves, were the main highlights.

Clangers, L 11-12 (8)

Another strong pitching performance from Ian, and some consistant base hitting, but another heartbreaking extra innings loss.

Lightning, W 18-9

A fantastic pitching debut from Ian, and some consistant base hitting, were the highlights of the game. Even the base running looked good after a few early wobbles !

Aardvarx, L 9-10

Another heart breaker for the new boys and girls of the C Lions, but another promising performance from the rookies.

Bees, W 11-8

Pete was the stand out player in a fantastic team performance that produced the team's first win. 12 rookies, 13 including the sub, sank one of the league's oldest teams in a well deserved victory that owed a lot to the team's composure under pressure.

Vipers, L 16-21 (6&1/2)

Another creditable performance for the new kids in town as they went down to a much improved Vipers team after a competitive game played in a good spirit. Pete gave a brilliant debut pitching performance and Andy shone in the field as well as hitting a monster home run.

Mets AAA, L 13-14 (8)

A sparkling debut for the new Lions side ended in extra innings heartbreak, but the promise on show was undeniable.
